Another year older not necessarily wiser. Bought yellow glutinous rice cake for the kids. In Malay custom steamed yellow glutinous rice is a symbol of being grateful of good things bestow upon you. Prepared 50 goodie bags. Inside all my favourite snack for the past 50 years: Hup Seng biscuits, Daim and Ferero Rocher chocs and Fernleaf yogurt. Had a quiet celebration with a dear friend. A simple dinner at Sama-sama Hotel. That's all. Nothing fancy. It is always the thought that counts. Considering last year was... well... not a very good birthday experience. To be honest, at 50, there are a lot of things that make me super grateful. For a start, the fact that I can wake up each morning, that is a real blessing:) Happiest birthday to me !!
